Eat Better and Exercise

Eating and exercise go together. When and what we eat can be important to how we feel when we exercise. And it's important to think about what we eat when we exercise, whether we are doing a casual workout or training for a competition. Fiber helps maintain digestive health and helps us feel fuller longer. Fiber also helps control blood sugar and lowers cholesterol levels. Fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds are good source of fiber. Calcium and vitamin D work together to promote optimal bone health. Our bodies can make vitamin D from sunshine. However, some people may have a hard time producing enough vitamin D. And too much sun exposure can increase the risk of skin cancer.
